About Digital X-Ray

T&K X-Ray of Cadott, Wisconsin, is able to share world-class X-ray equipment and training, with Chiropractors and Veterinarians nationwide. As X-ray consultants, we’ve installed thousands of systems in clinics from Eau Claire & the Chippewa Valley, to North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, as well as Texas, Colorado, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Michigan, and more. We have a wonderful system of providing remote assistance from designing your X-ray room, to the delivery and installation stage. We will work with you all the way through training your end-user team and providing long-term support.

Whether you are planning a new digital X-ray installation, a digital X-ray upgrade or you are moving from traditional X-ray to digital X-ray, our team of experts can walk you through the entire process.  We offer a wide-variety of X-ray products to fit any need or budget.  We can fully plan for your X-ray suite design & the installation, and we offer the end-user (CT, Chiropractor, Veterinarian, etc.) digital X-ray training and technical support required to keep you up and running.

We are also an instructional resource team for your end users providing X-ray tips and tricks along the way.  To give you a better idea of how the process works, we interviewed Terry Hart, President, and Owner of T&K X-Ray Consultants.  Here is that interview:

  • We have a brand new office. What's our first step for Digital X-ray?
Number one, call T&K X-Ray Consultants! Seriously, we can take care of all the details of your new digital X-ray installation from working with your contractors, builders, and electricians to equipment acquisition, installation and training!
  • Can I upgrade my current X-ray system?
Yes, you may need to replace your existing wall stand and film cabinet, but in many cases, this is NOT necessary. Minor adjustments may be required on some generators. Our systems allow upgrading to digital by replacing your film cassettes and processor with a digital cassette/panel.
  • What information will T&K X-ray need from us to get started?
T&K will send out a one-page form that provides us with demographic and x-ray usage information. You return the form to us with a copy of your building plans showing the sizes of the X-ray room, and any adjacent rooms with common walls. We prepare a lead shielding plan that indicates the exact thickness of the lead needed for the walls, as well as any equipment docking requiring installation behind the sheet rock, to properly support the x-ray equipment. In States where a radiation physicist report is required we can send the layout to a physicist for comment and approval. We will also work directly with your electrician and contractor to answer any questions they may have.
  • How long does it take from ordering to delivery of the X-ray equipment?
It’s best if you plan four to six weeks ahead to order digital x-ray, however, we can work with you if your needs are more urgent. (We have done upgrades in as little as 10 days!)
  • How do we choose the X-ray equipment that is right for our clinic?
That is actually a very good question. The best way to determine which X-ray and/or digital package best suits the needs of the chiropractor(s) is to determine what method of chiropractic they practice (Gonstead, Upper Cervical, Blair, AO, Pettibon, etc.) Our recommendation will be made based on the methodology. We will also take into consideration your budget and match the highest quality digital X-ray that fits your needs.” “In the case of the veterinary practitioner, the recommendation would be based on the focus of the clinic (small animal, large animal, exotics, herd, etc.).” A side note: We are grateful for the opportunity to have donated our equipment to the Dream Center in Los Angeles, California; and to the Memphis Dream Center to help serve their mission of ‘finding solutions to homelessness, hunger, and the lack of education through residential and community outreach programs.’ Our equipment is also featured at the Gonstead Clinic in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin.
  • Does T&K X-ray provide technical support of digital X-ray equipment?
We beat out the competition, hands down in providing support. We live by the mantra, ‘If we are awake, we answer our phones.’ We strive to provide excellence in service and training support nearly 24/7.
  • Do you provide digital X-ray training to our end-user team?
Training is included with purchase. At the completion of the installation, our tech team will reach out and offer comprehensive remote training sessions at a time convenient to the technician and the doctor. Additionally, we have training videos, and demo software that can be accessed online at any time. We will retrain, as necessary, at no additional fee. As part of your purchase, we can also offer up to two hours of consultation time with our RT (Radiology Technologist). Our RT is licensed to practice in all 50 States, and has a comprehensive hospital background. Most importantly, she is able to explain complicated matters, with easy to understand instruction. Should you have any challenges, our technician is able to log-in to your system and diagnose 98% of the issues right over the phone. In many cases, the issues can be corrected remotely. If a call to the manufacturer is necessary, we will involve them, but we prefer to be the first call.
  • Is additional networking required for our X-ray room?
A network jack is needed in your x-ray room for the acquisition station computer. That computer will be networked into the clinic’s router. The goal is for the two computers to communicate without interruption.
  • Do I need a PACS system?
This is largely dependent on your clinic’s configuration and staffing. If you have a multi-doctor clinic with multiple viewing stations, it is best to have a PACS environment. PACS will help you manage all of the patient files for multiple doctors, and it will also be your image storage facility.
  • What is a PACS system?
PACS (or Picture Archive and Communications System) is used by the radiology and diagnostic imaging industry to manage information and images electronically. The system is responsible for acquiring, transmitting, storing, retrieving, and displaying digital images and related patient information from a variety of imaging sources, and communicating them over a network.
  • What can I expect for digital X-ray upgrade costs?
This is an interesting question!” It is like asking me what a car costs; and we all know that is entirely dependent upon what type of vehicle, the options that are included, the horsepower that is needed, and if you want tires included. Seriously, though, a comprehensive quotation will be provided upon request. We strive to get you the best equipment at the best price for whichever equipment best fits the needs of the clinic. Need a quote? Call us today, at (218) 940-7988.
  • How do we know if we can upgrade our current X-ray system?
A very practical question… In most cases, with today’s digital technology, it will work with almost any X-ray. However, if your X-ray is VERY old (like me), it may impact your image quality. T&K can advise whether or not you can upgrade your current X-ray. If it has been awhile since you have gotten a quote for digital X-ray upgrades, you may be pleasantly surprised at how cost-effective it can be. If you are doing a fair amount of imaging, the cost difference in switching to digital can be significant. No film, no chemistry, no hazardous discharge fees… the cost of digital, in fact, may be very close to costs you are already incurring for imaging. Call us today for a personalized quote (218) 940-7988.
  • What is the advantage to upgrading from older digital X-ray technology?
If you are using older CR technology, understand that, you will most likely pay less for a new flat panel, than you did for the old CR. AND digital will provide better image quality, plus more importantly, in most cases, less dosage to the patient and greater reimbursement from insurance.
  • If we need help using X-ray equipment we did not get from T&K, will you help us?"
Even if you did not purchase your digital equipment from us, in most cases, we can still work with you. Our training experts have worked with many chiropractic doctors and staff from offices that did not purchase their equipment from us. In fact, one manufacturer has set-up a referral system to send all of their clients to us for X-ray training. T&K X-ray has won numerous awards for sale and service. We aim to help you succeed.
  • What are T&K X-Ray Consultants' hours of operation?
Again, our mantra, “If we are awake, we answer our phones! Try it! Call us now!” (218) 940-7988
  • What about emergency after hours X-ray equipment service needs?
We will troubleshoot any time day or night because we know it is that important to your business to be up and running.
  • What does it take to maintain digital X-ray equipment?
It varies by manufacturer. Most states require you to follow the manufacturer’s protocol for whatever is required. We can help sort the details out for you.
  • Does T&K guarantee the X-ray equipment and their servicing of the equipment?
All equipment sold by T&K has a five-year parts warranty from the manufacturer, and a one-year service warranty.
  • Why should I choose T&K over any other X-ray equipment provider?
We go above and beyond to assure that every chiropractic office and veterinary office we serve gets exactly what they need, when they need it. Plus, try calling any other company on a Saturday or Saturday evening.
  • Do you have a referral program?” (i.e. If I like your work, and recommend you to another customer…"
T&K does very little advertising. We depend on satisfied customers to drive our sales. We appreciate the highest compliments of referrals. If you refer a friend, or colleague to T&K you won’t have to apologize later.
  • What does the U.S. Military and T&K X-Ray Consultants have in common?
T&K X-Ray is an organization exclusively owned and operated by Terry Hart, a U.S. Service Veteran, whose team is made up of all U.S. Service Veterans!
  • Proverbs “A good name, better than gold.” We work aggressively to maintain our name."
We protect our good name using integrity and honesty in all we do.
